President Barack Obama’s on Short Cuts – Live Conference 29 Apr. 2009

I tuned into the live news conference and one of the reporters inquired to the Mr. President regarding torture. President Obama expressed his opinion and during that opinion, he stated (paraphrased), “Short cuts leads us away from our American ideals and standards and towards an accelerated path to moral and ethical corrosion.”

I am going to take that and apply to both my personal and professional life. I have standards and ideals in both my personal life and my professional life as an up-and-coming photographer. I will continue to challenge and move towards a progressive direction, but will never cross the ethical and moral boundaries to compromise myself or those whom I work with.

I was immensely touched by President Obama’s statement. I am a firm and adamant believer in our President and I wish Mr. President the best of health and wisdom to guide all of us out from the tough times.
